Micromega eyewear is born from titanium: a resistant, malleable metal, which makes resilience (the ability to return to its original shape once manipulated) a fundamental characteristic, which makes it suitable for use in the most delicate and disparate fields of industry and design.
The discovery of titanium allowed Roberto Carlon, owner of Micromega, to dream and then create very light and at the same time functional and solid eyewear.
The search for solutions and inferences cannot be stopped and we could not ignore that the king of metals, what in history has allowed man to forge the most beautiful and precious objects is, of course, gold.
So we tried to replace the use of titanium wire with a gold wire: even more precious, even more malleable, the material that survives the centuries while maintaining its own peculiar characteristics. Inert and therefore totally hypoallergenic, gold gives our glasses the allure of jewelry, in a synthesis of aesthetics, value, function and soul that titanium cannot achieve.
All Micromega models can be made of gold thread, maintaining the same design characteristics and lightness, but becoming even more unique and long-lived objects, to the point of being able to become a family heritage, to be handed down from generation to generation.
